Cypress, TX – July 21, 2010 – Cypress Window Tinting, the Houston area’s leading provider of advanced laminates designed to increase human safety, security and manage energy, today announced it has donated the cost of labor required to install security film on the home of a local Police Deputy. Taking it one step farther, Madico, Inc., the premier manufacturer of safety, security, and solar films, has also agreed to provide the material at no cost.
“I was listening to the Michael Berry radio show and heard him talking about the dangerous situation the Deputy’s 15 year old son was in,” said Cypress Window Tinting owner, Troy Peters. “I wanted to help in any way I could. The right solution for this situation was safety window film and that happens to be one of our specialties.”
Cypress Window Tinting is in exclusive company when it comes to safety and security film accreditation. The company is the only certified Madico SafetyShield® installing dealer in the Houston area.
Troy continued, “We are going to install Madico SafetyShield® tinted film on the interior and an additional layer on the exterior. This solution not only significantly increases the glass security but also adds an element of energy conservation at the same time by rejecting the suns heat.”

Security Film Demonstration at the 2010 Cy-Fair Home and Garden Show
Hurricane season is fresh on everyone's mind as that was clear at this year's Cy-Fair Home and Garden Show. We had people try to break through our security film demonstration.
This is a 3 foot by 3 foot piece of 1/4 inch clear glass with a 7mil clear security film on the outside and an 8mil clear security film on the inside with a silicone attachment system.
Check out the early birds getting a hit with barely a dent and then finally a breakthrough, but the three pound sledgehammer stayed in the glass!
The second set of pictures demonstrate people hitting the glass with a baseball hat on day two at the home show. This day we used a 4 foot by 3 foot piece of 1/4 inch clear glass with an 8mil tinted security film on one side and a 7mil clear security film on the other.
